Holst Centre Air Quality Monitoring

In the office building of Holst Centre, a research center set up by imec and TNO in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, distributed sensor nodes are installed to check air quality, detect people’s presence, etc. Compared to existing solutions, this monitoring system requires 5 to 10 times less power, allowing air quality monitoring to be carried out at many more places and thus improving data accuracy. Companies can tap into the underlying wireless platform and test e.g. their own sensors, wireless protocols, microprocessors for sensor nodes, etc.
